"I knew straight away that a lush green wall, stable in the sunlight, would be perfect."
The brief
I was asked to design a garden screen that would give a family real privacy in their beautiful garden in Brent Cross.
After assessing the space, I came up with the idea of a vertical garden wall to complement the trellis they already had installed.
The design
Designed around the trellis.
I designed UV-stable vertical wall panels to fix to the trellis, thinking carefully about the size and mood of the garden. Panels also went on either side of the house, keeping the backs of the green walls out of sight.
I chose premium astro turf as the base, for a fresh look that keeps its quality over time.
- UV-stable green wall panels
- Premium astro turf base
- Hundreds of bushes
- Trailing UV plants
The transformation
Layered for a lush, living look.
Once all 60 panels were securely fitted, my team and I added hundreds of bushes and trailing UV plants to every one, for a rich, layered look with real depth.
The result stays fresh and tidy for years with very little maintenance. The installation took two days and completely transformed the garden.
The result
"Needless to say, they were blown away with the final results."Sharon Demmery
